Henrik Koos

My role at Siesta Advisor is a bit of a mix between planning where we’re going next and making sure we know what we’re doing when we get there!

With a background in Political Sciences, I’ve always been interested in strategy, development and understanding how things work on a bigger scale. Today, I apply much of that thinking to Siesta Advisor, working predominantly on the growth and development of the company, new opportunities and our long-term strategy.

But if I’m being given the choice between a meeting room and the sea, you can probably guess where you’ll find me.

I’m a complete water fanatic, with a particular passion for sea kayaking and surfing. Over the years, I’ve taken my kayaking considerably further than just a hobby and am currently one of Europe’s highest-certified coastal kayakers.

At Siesta Advisor, I’m responsible for much of our technical safety, guide development and team training, helping ensure that the people leading our adventures have the knowledge, judgement and skills needed to operate professionally on the sea.

For me, the best part of the job is that the two sides come together: building Siesta Advisor into something bigger while never getting too far away from the water and the adventures that started it all. 🌊
