Free parking: the La Grava and Primer Montañar car parks, right by the beach, are completely free (Henrik, 23 Oct). Overflow: Calle Bolonia or near the I.E.S. school on Avenida Augusta, ≈2 min walk.
Access
Flat and easy: from the car park it's a short walk along the beach road to the Chiringuito.
Recommended arrival
Be at the departure point at the time on your ticket. We suggest arriving 30 minutes early (one hour in July and August, and as early as you can on summer weekends) so that parking and check-in are relaxed. Wait at the meeting point even if the van is not there yet.
Seasonal access
Season: 1 June – 15 October only (Henrik, 22 Oct 2026). Online booking for 2027 opens in spring; until then the page shows 'Reopens June 2027'.

“Best Experience in Spain”

This is one of the best experiences we had in Spain on this trip. We were able to do kayaking, swimming in the caves and on beanches, snorkeling, and rock diving in a little over two and a half hours. What an amazing experience! The kayak tour with Siesta Advisor was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Getting ready for your adventure

  • For this activity

    Bring drinking water, sunscreen (put it on before you arrive) and a hat or cap; sunglasses with a strap help on the water. A towel and dry clothes for afterwards. Travel light: valuables are best left at home.

Requirements & restrictions

  • Participants should have a basic level of fitness and be comfortable in the water.
  • All participants must be able to swim confidently.
  • Maximum recommended weight is 100 kg per person for safety and equipment stability.
  • Children aged 4 to 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Tell us in advance about any medical conditions, injuries, pregnancy or other health concerns.
  • No alcohol, drugs or anything that impairs judgement, balance or coordination.
  • Follow the guide's instructions at all times; we may refuse or stop participation if safety requirements aren't met.
  • Late arrivals or guests who miss the safety briefing may not be able to join.

Frequently asked

How is it different from Kayak Cala Tango?

Kayak Cala Tango is our easy tour to Cala Tango and the Turquoise Cave. Kayak Cabo de San Antonio goes further: past the Isla de la Mona and below the lighthouse to the Primera Caleta and the Starlight Cave – a longer paddle in more open water.

What is the Starlight Cave?

A sea cave below the Cabo de San Antonio whose ceiling glitters like stars when the light comes in from the water. We go in when the sea allows.

How fit do I need to be?

Fit enough for a longer paddle: no kayak experience is needed, but this is our most demanding tour. For a first or family paddle, choose Kayak Cala Tango.

When does it run?

From 1 June to 15 October. Outside the season, try Kayak Granadella or Kayak Cova dels Orguens.

What marine life will we see?

Around the rocks: white seabream, shoals of salema, painted comber, rainbow wrasse, octopus, moray eels, starfish and sea urchins. Rare, lucky sightings: dolphins and, in early summer, fin whales passing the Cabo de San Antonio; seahorses hide in the Posidonia seagrass but are very rarely seen. We never chase or touch wildlife.

Is there cliff jumping?

Yes, optional jumps where the guide has checked the depth. You never have to jump.

Good to know

A step up from Kayak Cala Tango: a longer paddle in more open water below the cape, so you need a good basic level of fitness and to be comfortable in open water. The guide sets the pace and there are breaks to snorkel and explore. You paddle a stable double kayak; snorkel mask, water shoes and life jackets are included. We provide a snorkel mask; guests who own a snorkel and mask they love are encouraged to bring them. Dry bags are available on request on the day, so just ask the team when you arrive. Wetsuits are included whenever the water is cold. Not sure whether you'll need one on your date? Call or message us and we'll tell you. Photos and videos of your tour are complimentary, shared in an online folder within 24 to 48 hours and kept for 180 days. Entering the cave and cliff jumping are optional. About 8–10 guests per guide, and usually two guides go out on each excursion. The cape is exposed, so this tour depends more on the sea than our other routes: if it isn't suitable, the guide changes the route or we reschedule. Season: 1 June – 15 October only (Henrik, 22 Oct 2026). Online booking for 2027 opens in spring; until then the page shows 'Reopens June 2027'. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start; changes within 24 hours cost €15 per participant; groups of 4 or more from June to September pay a 50% deposit. The safety briefing is given in Spanish and English, and in French or Dutch when a French- or Dutch-speaking guide is assigned to your group.
