About this experience

The hidden caves of Cala Moraig

Discover one of the Costa Blanca's most fascinating coastal landscapes on this guided Kayak Cala Moraig adventure in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell. Starting from the spectacular Cala Moraig, paddle beneath dramatic cliffs and explore a coastline shaped by caves, geological faults and intensely clear Mediterranean water.

The route takes in the extraordinary Cova dels Arcs, a natural karst formation whose enormous stone arches open directly onto the turquoise sea (official tourism information dates the formation back around 60,000 years), before discovering the Falla del Moraig, a dramatic geological fracture where the rock face rises almost vertically above a hidden lagoon, and the hidden Cova del Moraig, popularly known as the Cueva de los Peces, a remarkable water-filled formation associated with the underground Riu Blanc.

What makes it special

Rather than simply paddling past beautiful scenery, guests explore a coastline where caves, faults, underground water and Mediterranean cliffs come together. Combined with clear-water snorkelling and professional guidance, it creates a highly visual and genuinely unusual kayak experience.
